The unique pre-formed tension clamp design not only simplifies installation, but also ensures a secure cable connection. Dead-end cable clamps provide superior performance to protect ADSS/OPGW/OPPC cables from stress point damage and prevent signal degradation during transmission.
Pre-formed tension clamps for conductors and grounds are similar in appearance to pulling dead-end clamps, but the specifications, raw materials and strength requirements of the two types of pulling clamps do differ significantly.

What is a preformed tension clamp?

Preformed tension wire clips are also known as preformed dead-end or dead-end cable clips. Preformed tension wire clips are made of aluminum clad steel wire or galvanized steel wire and are used for communication ADSS fiber optic, OPGW fiber optic cable and OPPC.

The unique design of preformed tension clips not only simplifies installation but also ensures the safety of cable connection. The terminating cable clips provide excellent performance to protect ADSS/OPGW/OPPC cables from stress points and prevent signal degradation during transmission.

Structure and raw materials

Unloading buckles - hot dipped galvanized steel. Unloading buckles are connected to the reinforcing bar unit.

Torsion chain link - hot dipped galvanized steel. Torsion chain links are used to connect the shackle to the thimble.

Thimble - hot dip galvanized cast steel. The thimble is inserted into the unclamp of the tensioning clamp to act as a protection and connection.

Armor bar ----- Aluminum clad steel wire. Armored rods increase friction through a layer of granular emery inside the cable. The rods are assembled in the shop into four subsets, which reduces misalignment errors and speeds installation. The ends are bent outward to reduce stress in critical cable departure areas.

Pre-Twisted Ends - Pre-twisted ends are made of hot-dip galvanized steel wire or aluminum-clad steel wire and are assembled in the shop as a single piece with a solid layer of granular emery on the inside to increase the grip of the tensioning clamps while reducing lateral stresses

Specification

Preformed tension wire clamps are made of aluminum-coated steel wire or galvanized steel wire. Galvanized steel wire preformed tension clamps are more commonly used abroad.
